Algeria’s Mehdi Baghdad Improves His Record to 10-3 At RFA 18

RFA 18, took place yesterday night [Satuday September 12, 2014] at Albuquerque Convention Center in Albuquerque, N.M. The main card aired live on AXS TV. The co-main event featured Algerian fighter Mehdi Baghdad Vs America’s Even Delong, and as promised Baghdad makes some noise at RFA 18 finishing Even Delong half way through the first round! No one can stop this guy !! Maybe its time for him to play with the big boys on the biggest platform.. if you know what am sayin !

So here’s how it happened!

Mehdi Baghdad (10-3) saw Evan DeLong (13-8) try to put him in trouble early in the fight and evidently didn’t like it very much. DeLong managed to block an early kick, then jumped for a guillotine choke that wasn’t near successful. Baghdad postures up and both fighters were back to their feet. It was a fast start, so both fighters took this time to restart. But as the fight approached two minutes in, Baghdad landed a three-punch combination that had DeLong covering up then followed up a big right kick to the face. That Was A Hard One!!! Delong was hurt and Baghdad quickly chased him down and put together another combination until DeLong fell and the referee dove in to stop it.
