It has been confirmed that Aniss Al Hajjajy will face Gabriel Tayeh in what is sure to be the highest caliber of grappler vs grappler match-up inside the Desert Force cage for Desert Force 15.
Holding a professional record of 7 wins and 5 losses, the former Desert Force welterweight 77 KG champion from Morocco, Aniss Al Hajjajy, who was supposed to fight Mohammed Ghorabi in Desert Force 14 before Ghorabi was forced to pull out of the bout due to staph infection, has been out of cage fighting action since June 2013 with his last victory being over the Egyptian, Amr Wahmad. Al Hajjajy, undefeated in Desert Force, decided to relinquish his welterweight title and drop down to the lightweight 70 KG division where he hopes to get more fights and more action.
Gabriel Tayeh has always had some of the most exciting fights in Desert Force with 4 wins and 2 losses all inside the Desert Force promotion. Tayeh has never had a fight go to decision and is always looking to finish his opponent in the fastest and most devastating fashion.
These guys have showcased their grappling skills time after time inside the cage. Whereas the black belt, Aniss Hajjajy, might be the slightly better grappler of the two, Tayeh is surely more heavy handed and possibly the better and heavier striker. These fighters, who both used to fight at the welterweight division, will now be looking to establish themselves in the lightweight division, putting it all on the line.
It will also be interesting to see the former champion, Al Hajjajy, in action after so long. Will he be ring rusty? Will he be able to perform efficiently after his weight drop ? Be sure to catch Desert Force 15 this February and find out.
