Brave 12: KHK Legacy witnessed the professional debut of the second Bahraini professional fighter, Hussain Ayyad.

The former IMMAF World Championship medalist, exceeded expectations as he set on to put an end to the undefeated streak of Jomar Pa-ac from fabled Team Lakay. The athletes fought in the flyweight category which is among one of the fastest developing divisions in the promotion. Ayyad dominated both at striking game as well as grappling. His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa was at the corner of Hussain Ayyad which was a great motivation for the Bahraini athlete to shine in an arena that supported his opponent.

The first round started with Jomar Pa-ac taking to the offence while Ayyad made successful attempts to retaliate with counterstrikes. Pa-ac was unable to break the defence and set to grapple and tried to take down Ayyad. Ayyad swiftly dominated on the ground turning the tables by the end of the first round. In the second round, Ayyad went ahead aggressively against the undefeated Team Lakay prospect. The fight was taken to the ground with Pa-ac left open to Ayyad’s viscious ground and pound attack prompting the referee to stop the fight.

Brave Combat Federation has built up an exciting roaster in the flyweight division. In 2018, 9 time IBJJF champion Bruno Malfacine signed with Brave Combat Federation shifting the level of competition in the division higher. Marcel Adur has currently three wins in all of his three appearances at Brave Combat Federation in the flyweight division. With Ayyad joining the rank of global athletes, the presence of Bahrain in the division has been established. He was congratulated by His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa after the event.
