The featherweight bout was part of the main card of today’s Brave 2: Dynasty event at Khalifa Sports City in Isa Town, Bahrain. It streamed on Live in BraveFights.com and on ABS-CBN Sports and Action Network found throughout Asia, Europe, North America and the Middle East. The smiling Algerian Frenchman came out confidently and aggressively, landing some right hands which backed up the American and surprised him as he was forced to fight going backwards. The Algerian delivered right on his promise claiming his biggest win yet against the American veteran.
Team Hurricane Awesome’s Watson arrived in Bahrain at the peak of his fighting career, having already shared a cage with some of the best fighters in the world, and possesses elite MMA skills both standing and on the ground.
Right from the get go, Elias continued to press the action and stalk his opponent, then secured a brilliant takedown and immediately went to work on Walel’s arm. Once he gained top position he was clinical in the finish as he trapped Walel effortlessly in the Kimura lock and forced the tap-out.
The former Desert Force fighter Elias “Smile” Boudegzdame is young, but he has already impressed the MMA world with his incredibly slick ground game and lethal Jiu-Jitsu. The Algerian has always managed to go against all odds despite going against very stiff opponents.
This victory takes Boudegzdame to 13-4 and while Walel Watson falls to 13-9.
