Brave 2 Results: Jordan’s Jarrah Al Selawi Shuts Out Carlsson Via Kimura

Isa Town, Bahrain| Jarrah Al Selawi secured a huge submission victory using his favourite Kimura technique to force the tap-out from Erik Carlsson in the second round.

The welterweight bout was part of the main card of tonight’s Brave 2: Dynasty event at Khalifa Sports City in Isa Town, Bahrain. It streamed on Live on and on ABS-CBN Sports and Action Network found throughout Asia, Europe, North America and the Middle East. In the U.S. Brave 2 was aired on MYX TV, found on Comcast and DirecTV.

In a highly competitive first round, Carlsson had some joy in the clinch and secured a takedown, but was unable to hurt Al Silawi or land anything significant, and Al Silawi fought back with devastating body kicks.

In the round two, Carlsson attempted to take Jarrah down, despite Al Selawi’s excellent Jiu Jitsu. As he landed on top of Selawi in a scramble, he fell right into the trap of Al Silawi. The Jordanian Lion immediately got into his position, grabbed his arm and locked in the Kimura lock which looked nasty and may have caused some damage prior to the Swede tapping.

This is the 3rd time Jarrah Al Selawi to set up trap for his opponents via Kimura submission. During his previous tenure at Desert Force championship, Al Selawi’s reputed Kimura secured him victory against his toughest challengers at then, Mohammad Fakhreddine and Ramy Hamed.

What a great debut at Brave Combat Federation for the “Jordanian Lion” who made his countrymen and the Arab fans proud. Al Selawi has stirred up myriad reactions on social media when he announced that he is joining Brave, and tonight, these fans are back to praise him for a huge achievement at Brave CF.

With that impressive win, Al Selawi improved to 7-2 with Carlsson falling to 5-2.

Stay tuned to as we bring you up to the minute coverage of Brave 2: Dynasty taking place at Khalifa Sports City in Bahrain.
