Isa Town, Bahrain| Tyree Fortune won a unanimous decision over Ben Forsyth in a fight dominated by his sheer size and supreme wrestling.
The light heavyweight bout was part of the preliminary card of today’s Brave 2: Dynasty event at Khalifa Sports City in Isa Town, Bahrain.
It streamed on Live on BraveFights.com and on ABS-CBN Sports and Action Network found throughout Asia, Europe, North America and the Middle East. In the U.S. Brave 2 was aired on MYX TV, found on Comcast and DirecTV.
Fortune smothered Forsyth in a very one-sided contest, opting for the wining formula, punch, punch, push against the cage and take-down. This worked very well for Fortune, who was able to control Forsyth for the majority of the contest without doing any serious damage. He almost managed a Kimura in the second round and also attempted a guillotine, but was unable to finish the durable Irish man from SBG Ireland.
Tyree Fortune remains a major prospect in the sport due to his wrestling credentials whilst Forsyth is young in his career and can take heart from his performance, he never gave up and managed a takedown of his own n the third.
What a way to open up the light heavyweight division. Fortune improves his record, adding the second win as a professional. Forsyth losses his promotional debut and 3rd professional fight.
