Brave Combat Federation have made their way to Almaty City in Kazakhstan, for their sixth edition, Brave 6. Mohammad Fakhreddine was scheduled to step into the cage for the biggest fight of his career against Brazilian Leonardo Mafra Teixeira, but due to the circumstances of this morning’s weigh-ins the fight is no longer taking place.
The fighters hit the scale on Friday morning to make their fights official and while most of the fighters hit the mark, one of the biggest draws of the event has been scrapped after Mohammad Fakhreddine came in 400 grams above the mark, and Teixeira refused to take the fight on any terms.
“I came in 400 grams above weight, which I could have easily cut in 30 minutes. We even offered him 20% of my purse, but it seems that he needs any reason to avoid fighting me.”
Headlining the Kazakhstan line up are Russia’s Eldar Eldarov versus Henrique “Rasputin” Gomes, along with biggest stars of Central-Asian MMA, Habiti Tuerxunbieke who is to face Azerbaijan’s Fariz Ibadly.
