Isa Town, Bahrain – Just 48 hours after making global MMA history with the monumental BRAVE CF 100, the fastest-growing mixed martial arts organization in the world returned to action with BRAVE CF 101: KHK Legacy II on Sunday, November 9, inside Khalifa Sports City.
The KHK Legacy Series continues to celebrate Bahrain’s proud martial arts heritage while providing a platform for the next generation of athletes to shine on the international stage. Following the electric atmosphere of BRAVE CF 100, the ten-fight card delivered another night of world-class MMA competition featuring nine professional bouts and one amateur contest.
Main Event: Muhammad Idrisov Dominates Marciano Ferreira
In the flyweight main event, Muhammad Idrisov delivered a dominant performance against Marciano Ferreira in a high-stakes clash that gained added intrigue following Muhammad Mokaev’s crowning as the new BRAVE CF Flyweight World Champion at BRAVE CF 100.
With Mokaev in his corner and representing Team KHK MMA Bahrain, Idrisov outclassed Ferreira across all three rounds to earn a unanimous decision victory (30-27, 30-27, 30-26). The win cements Idrisov’s place among the division’s elite and hints at exciting future storylines within BRAVE Combat Federation’s evolving flyweight picture.
Co-Main Event: Gitinov Extends Submission Streak
Ramazan Gitinov continued his dominant run in the lightweight division, dismantling Nursultan Asker in the very first round with a rear-naked choke submission. The victory marked the only submission of the night and further underlined Gitinov’s reputation as one of the most dangerous grapplers in BRAVE CF.
Morocco’s Youssef Boughanem showcased his seamless transition from world-class striker to complete MMA athlete, stopping Anthony Zeidan in the opening round via TKO (strikes). Post-fight tensions briefly flared between the two, but both competitors ultimately exchanged respect inside the BRAVE CF cage.
In a catchweight (59.8 kg) battle, Dias Yerengaipov and Bayram Shammadov delivered an instant classic. After three rounds of back-and-forth action, Yerengaipov claimed a split decision victory (29-28, 29-28, 28-29) in one of the evening’s most competitive bouts.
A historic moment unfolded as Khalifa and Abdulrahman Ali Janahi became the first brothers to compete and win on the same BRAVE CF card. Both secured first-round stoppages in front of their home fans, igniting Khalifa Sports City with pride and emotion. Their victories highlighted Bahrain’s growing legacy as a global MMA powerhouse.
The long-standing rivalry between India and Pakistan was reignited as Punyajit Likharu and Aqib Awan met in a tense bantamweight contest. Unfortunately, the bout ended in a technical draw following an accidental eye poke from Likharu in the third round, halting what had been a spirited, evenly matched fight.
Earlier on the card, Bahrain’s Ali Hasan Marhoon and Murad Guseinov both scored first-round knockouts, while amateur standout Yousif Mohammed Kurdi opened the night with a composed unanimous decision win over Ahmed Adel Ganzoury.
These results underscore KHK MMA Bahrain’s dominance and BRAVE Combat Federation’s commitment to nurturing homegrown and global talent.
