Sheikh Khalid MMA Fight

While it is quite common for Sheikhs and Middle Eastern royal family members to invest in sports, it is quite rare to actually see them compete. This is rare especially in contact sports. H.H Sheikh Khalid Bin Hamad Al Khalifa, founder of the Brave Combat Federation, broke all paradigms!  He entered the cage and made his debut as an amateur MMA fighter last April. And he seems to have enjoyed the experience.

On January 12, .H.H Sheikh Khalid will have his second mixed martial arts fight against India`s Manish Kumar. The fight will headlining a card pitting several India vs Bahraini challenges in Bahrain.

After knocking out Aditya PS in just 14 seconds in his MMA debut, his highness will drop from the the welterweight division (up to 77kg) to lightweight (up to 70kg) for his second fight.

Sheikh Khalid’s fight will take place about a month before Brave’s third edition, which marks the international debut of the event, landing in Curitiba (PR) in February. The event will bring to Brazil former UFC champion Frankie Edgar, who will be the official commentator on the world broadcast.
