On September 5th 2016, Ezzedine Al Derbane and Siyovush Gulmamadov faced off one another on the at Desert Force 24 card in Abu Dhabi. It was quite a show for the fans before the Tajikistani was penalized with a second round DQ when he connected on illegal kicked to a downed Ezzedine.
Following the fight, ArabsMMA reporter Zahi Ephrem managed to catch-up up with Ezzedine for his say. Although Siyovush Gulmamadov’s disqualification eventually led Ezzedine Al Derbane to a win, the Jordanian was not well pleased with the victory.
“I wasn’t happy with the way the fight ended. Fans have doubted me when this happened previously against Hussein Salem, and I went for a rematch to settle the score. Now it’s happened again. I was controlling the pace of the fight and Rounds one and two were mine. I want the fans to know that the fight was going my way, and victory was mine.”
