First Brave CF Title Defense Set for Brave 9; Boudegzdame Vs. Martins

Algerian pride Elias Boudegzdame will face ex-UFC veteran Lucas Martins from Brazil for his first title defense match at Khalifa Sports City on November 17. This fight will also mark the championship’s first title defense event since its launch in September 2016.

Elias is the first featherweight champion in Brave. He was crowned champion at the Brave 4 headliner when submitted Mexican opponent Masio Fullen to become the first Brave Combat Federation featherweight champion. His achievement had been applauded by Ministry of Sports in Algeria on several honorable occasions.

Boudegzdame holds an impressive record of 14 wins and 4 losses, and has fought twice already at Brave CF. The Algerian’s combat journey had been featured in the first film launched by the Bahrain based production house, Brave Films and was televised in France and Algeria.

His opponent, Lucas Martins (19-3), became a familiar name to the MMA community after fighting seven times in UFC, while bagging four wins.

The title fight between the champion Boudegzdame and challenger Martins will take place at Brave 9: The Kingdom of Champions on 17 November. Brave 9 will be the culmination of the International Combat Week, alongside the IMMAF World Championships, under the patronage of Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa.
