Ghorabi Vs Hajjajy Canceled for Desert Force 12

Hajjajy will remain the title holder of course and will surely come back to defend it after resolving this issue.

ArabsMMA reports that the welterweight title fight for Desert Force 12 has been canceled following immigration issues for the champion Aniss Al Hajjajy (7-5).

His challenger, winner of Al Academiya welterweight title Mohamad Ghorabi (2-0) will now fight a non-title fight on the main card against a yet to be announced opponent.

The event takes place on April 28 at the King Hussein Youth City Boxing Arena, Amman, Jordan. The main card airs on MBC action along with live play-by-play coverage on ArabsMMA.com.

Hajjajy said:

“I was told that the fight was on April 11 then it was rescheduled to April 28. I told Desert Force that I cannot leave the country after the 17th, but nothing concerning this issue from them. I’d like to apologize to the fans. But rest assured, I’ll be back in 2014 stronger than ever. After all everything happens for a reason.”

Hajjajy will remain the title holder of course and will surely come back to defend it after resolving this issue. It is not the first time fighters encounter such problems, especially when it comes to Arabs.

Ghorabi’s opponent is not officially revealed but stay tuned for more on Desert Force 12 !
