The world’s leading kickboxing promotion has announced its first international event for 2015.
GLORY, the world’s leading kickboxing promotion, along with EMD Promotions, unveiled their collaboration on the first international event situated in the Middle East for 2015. On April the third, GLORY 20 Dubai will meet the Arab world for the first time in the Dubai World Trade Centre.
Gabriel Varga, the four-man featherweight tournament Glory 17 winner, will head the fight card along with The number one ranked featherweight Jaguar, Mosab Amrani. The winner will not only win the fight but top the featherweight GLORY division and earn the belt, marking the last vacant spot in GLORY elite.
Both returning from a pause in their fighting career, Pat Barry the GLORY 16 returnee and the Tunisian veteran, Mourad Bouzidi will hoat the co-main event.
Reminiscing from GLORY 17, once again a one-night four-man tournament, “contender”, will be featured.
In the semifinals, the Brazilian up and comer Alex “Po Atan” Pereira, who is the number 6-ranked GLORY middleweight, will take on number 3-ranked Dutchman Jason “Tyson” Wilnis. In the opposing bracket, the number 4-ranked Canadian, Simon Marcus, who suffered the first professional loss of his career to Joe Schilling at GLORY “Last Man Standing,” will be matched up against New York’s Wayne Barrett. Barrett lost to Wilnis at GLORY 18 and is now ranked fifth in the division.
