Hamza Al Kooheji will have one of the defining moments in his career as he will be competing for the vacant bantamweight championship of BRAVE Combat Federation in his homeland of Bahrain. Hamza is the first MMA fighter to carry the flag of the Kingdom of Bahrain and is currently on an incredible 5-fight win streak which earned him a shot at the title.
During the press conference ahead of BRAVE CF 57, Hamza issued an inspiring statement in front of his fans and supporters in the Kingdom of Bahrain. While he was being humble and respectful towards his opponent and coach sharing words of praise, he made a point that the Bahraini fighter who trains out of KHK MMA Bahrain is not intimidated by his opponent or big names.
While his opponent is one among the outstanding bantamweight fighters in the world training at the iconic Straight Blast Gym Ireland, Hamza confirmed that he is not intimidated by the pressure. Earlier, Mohammed Shahid, CEO of BRAVE Combat Federation had praised Hamza for being a pioneer for the sport in Bahrain.
A win for Hamza will be iconic in the history of Bahrain as he could become the first-ever Bahraini to win a championship in a global Mixed Martial Arts promotion. BRAVE CF 57 will take place during the 2022 edition of the BRAVE International Combat Week, which will also feature the epic first edition of the MMA Super Cup, the largest amateur tournament in the world in association with IMMAF, KHK Sports, and the Bahrain MMA Federation.
