Bahrain’s Kooheji suffered the first loss of his career in the main event of Desert Force 21 (March 14, 2016) against Ezzeldine Al Derbane. A crushing knee straight to the jaw left Kooheji unconscious while Al Derbabane celebrated as the new featherweight interim Champion.
At the time, the loss derailed Kooheji’s hopes of becoming featherweight champion, but as Rocky himself said:
“It ain’t how hard you hit, it’s about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward” – Rocky Balboa
