The 2016 IMMAF World Championships kicked off yesterday (July 05, 2016) with an eventful first day which saw 56 fights with competitors hailing from all around the globe.
Four fighters represented Team Bahrain in the opening day with Fahad Abdulrazaq securing the first win for the team. Abdulrazaq faced Warren Mason from UK only to break his collar bone in the opening round, forcing the doctor to end the bout.
“The fight was an easy task for me, I finished my opponent in the first round. This gives me very big motivation for my coming challenges at IMMAF.”
Abdulrazaq is Team Bahrain’s youngest fighter and the first to earn a victory in the international competition. The KHK MMA prospect will step into the cage again on Thursday. His opponent is yet to be announced.
