The 2016 IMMAF World Championships kicked off yesterday (July 05, 2016) with an eventful first day which saw 56 fights with competitors hailing from all around the globe. Representing Team Lebanon on day 1, Richard Saliba returned to the championships after 2 years to score a 2nd round TKO against indian opponent Samuel Lalrozama.
Throughout the 2 rounds, the Lebanese featherweight was able to dictate the pace of the fight, delivering some serious damage to his opponent who was unable to handle more.
Richard Saliba:
I was playing safe to avoid any injuries before the upcoming bouts. My opponent was seriously damaged, and he was forced to end the bout.
Saliba moves on to face USA’s Orlando Jimenez today in a tough match up that’s definitely worth watching. Best of luck for Richard Saliba!
