The WPJJC tournament was brought to a close on saturday April 19 where Jiu Jitsu fighters stunned the local crowds as they fought for World Championship Belt in the Male Brown Belt Adult Open Weight Category.

As far as the black belt open class division is concerned, the 2014 WPJJC was a rerun of last year’s edition, Once again, Gabi Garcia and Marcus Almeida Buchecha ended up with the belts around their waist.

It was no surprise as the powerful Gabi Garcia from Brazil fought off America’s Janni Larsson to earn the title of World’s Best Professional Jiu-Jitsu Fighter in the Female Brown Black Belt Adult Open Weight Category.

Meanwhile Brazllian Marcos Almeida reigned supreme over Rodolfo Vieira for the title World’s Best Professional Jiu-Jitsu Fighter in the Final Male Black Belt Adult Open Weight Category under the roars of the crowd.

Rodolfo was in disbelief after what was his best performance in a long time against the opponent. In the beginning of the match, he almost got a guard pass and mount.

Nevertheless, the personal score between the two is 4-1 to Buchecha now.

They will probably meet next in Long Beach, California, at the end of May, at the 2014 World Jiu-Jitsu Championship.
