It has just been announced that our own Jarjis “Man Mountain” Danho (6-0 MMA, 0-0 UFC), will be making his UFC debut against Daniel Omielanczuk (17-5-1 MMA, 2-2 UFC) at UFC Fight Night 84. For the few who hadn’t got the news, the undefeated heavyweight of Syrian origin has arrived to the big stage signed his contract with the UFC this past October.
Danho has earned all six of his career wins by way of stoppage, including four by knockout. He comes off a recent TKO victory over Stefan Traunmueller at a Desert Force Championship event which took place this May in Jordan.
The 32-year-old has made a statement from day 1 of his professional career, finishing his opponent only 10 seconds into the first round. After four fights in local German cages, Danho fought for Desert Force, the most prominent MMA championship in the Middle East, in addition to Cage in Finland. “Man Mountain” scored impressive TKO wins over the much experienced Austrian Stefan Traunmüller and the Finnish Bellator veteran Marcus Vänttinen
Danho faces his toughest test to date at UFC Fight Night 84 against Polish opponent Daniel Omielanczuk. Daniel boasts a professional record of 17 wins and 5 losses, and has been on the UFC roster for over two years. In his most recent victory at UFC Fight Night 72, Omielanczuk stopped Chris de la Rocha with a TKO in the first round.
UFC Fight Night 84 takes place February 27 in the United Kingdom. An official headliner hasn’t been announced yet, though middleweights Michael Bisping (27-7 MMA, 17-7 UFC) and Gegard Mousasi (37-6-2 MMA, 4-3 UFC) are rumored for the card.
