It’s at Cage Warriors 61, which will take place at King Hussein Boxing Arena in Amman, that Jordan’s Jarrah Al-Silawi (0-0) will make his professional debut against James Burrows (2-0), from Wales, in a welterweight fight.
Jarrah, fighting out of Team Source, will make history as the first Jordanian to fight under the Cage Warriors Banner as a professional. The crowd will go crazy when these fighters enter the Cage, I can assure you!
Another crowd pleasing bout features James Brum (13-2) who finally has an opponent. He’ll take on Russia’s Marat Pekov (10-4) on the card. Brum had been scheduled for a bantamweight title fight against Brett Johns before Johns was sidelined with an injury.
Brum will be going after his seventh straight win for Cage Warriors and eighth straight overall. He hasn’t lost in more than two years, when he was submitted at BAMMA 7 by current UFC standout Erik Perez. Of his seven straight wins, six have come by decision.
Pekov fights for the second time under the Cage Warriors banner. Desert Force Champion Hashem Arkhagha was in his corner at Fight Night 9 as both fighters trained with Kdojo. He was treated as a local from the Circassian crowd which surely boosted him yet he lost the decision.
‘The fight against Mann was very close, but it went to the judges and they gave it his way’, Pekov stated. ‘I won’t make the same mistake against Brum. It won’t be left in the hands of the judges this time.’
Also at Cage Warriors 61, Arnold Allen (5-0) now will meet Scotland’s Doni Miller (4-1) following an injury to Taylor Lapilus (5-1).
