A battle of taekwondo stylists has been added to the already stacked UFC 158 card in Montreal. The Lebanese Canadian John Makdessi will meet fellow striker Daron Cruickshank.
Makdessi (10-2), who calls Montreal home, snapped a two-fight losing streak when he topped Sam Stout late in 2012. Since joining the UFC, Makdessi has gone 3-2 inside the Octagon.
Cruickshank (12-2) will enter UFC 158 on a high after scoring a devastating head kick knockout over Henry Martinez at UFC on FOX 5 last December.
The bout is expected to take place on the preliminary card. The main event of the card sees UFC welterweight champion Georges St. Pierre defending his title against nemesis Nick Diaz.
