Julien Piednoir (6-5) Vs Ramy Hamed (3-1) is now official for Desert Force 25!
Rami Hamed returns to the cage at Desert Force 25 and will be looking to exorcise his demons following his first career defeat. His opponent will be Julien Piednoir, a French fighter in desperate need of a win in his second Desert Force appearance.
Desert Force 24 was the scene of Hamed’s destruction at the hands of Jarrah Al Silawi, in a fight many tipped him to win convincingly considering his blistering start in the fight game. He won his first three fights, all via vicious TKO in the first round. Certainly, he looked like an unstoppable force on his way to the top.
Yet he ran into a more experienced Al Silawi, who boasts high level ground skills and simply executed the perfect game-plan against Hamed. The Jordanian pressured him into the fence, landing the Judo trip straight into side control. He then transitioned smoothly into a Kimura Arm Lock, which forced an immediate tap from Hamed.
Following this first-round defeat, Hamed has been written off by many critics and fighters. He has a big point to prove at Desert Force 25 against the Frenchman Piednoir.
There could be no better opportunity for Hamed. “The Russian” will be facing a fighter low on confidence, having lost his last four fights.
At his best, Hamed is a ruthless striker. He possesses blurry hand speed and has been able to overwhelm his opponents. When he smells blood, he finishes fights and a flurry and he will be looking to re-establish his feared reputation.
As far as reputations go, Piedmont had a poor first outing at Desert Force 23. After he lost to Mohammed Ghorabi in the first round, this is surely his last chance saloon for him fighting in this organization.
Will Hamed bounce back and rediscover the form shown in his first three D.F. fights? Would Piedmont end his losing streak? Will he re-discover the form which brought him five wins in a row at the start of his career? Both men need a win and this should it a fascinating battle at Desert Force 25.
