Now you see him, now you don’t. Now you’re going to see him again! Seems like Mohammad Yahya (3-0) is back after a 20-month layoff. He will be thrown straight to the wolves, the wolf being Iraqi Hassan Talal (1-0).
Yahya has been away on military service and returns hoping to pick up where he left off, winning fights impressively and brutally.
Unfortunately for Yahya there is no easy path in the fight world. Indeed, he fights a man in Talal who has been active, and is coming off the back of a grueling victory in Desert Force 24 against Luciano Mocanasu.
After getting his hands raised at Desert Force 24 he was carried out of the arena in exhaustion. He had spent the entire fight – all three rounds – landing relentless ground-and-pound, yet his opponent never gave up.
Talal is a raw talent, he possesses a strong standup game and the heart of a lion, which will be a fearsome task to overcome for the promising Yahya.
It’s important to remember that Mohammad Yahya could experience some rustiness having been out of action for so long. Hence, this fight is a very intriguing prospect between two undefeated fighters at Desert Force 25.
The card on December 19 will also feature 3 Desert Force champions. Nonetheless, there will only be one title fight that evening.
Desert Force light heavyweight champion Mostafa Rashed will face Osama Saeidi in a long awaited rematch. Furthermore, middleweight champion Mohamad Karaki will take on Issey Francis, while Bantamweight champ Nawras Abzakh will face Brazilian Aldir Ramos.
