Lebanese Mixed Martial Arts Federation (LMMAF) president Mr. Khalil Nassour gathered in his home group members of the new administrative committee in the federation in addition to various of gyms and martial arts academies representatives.
As mentioned by Nassour, the purpose of this assembly is to clear the air and communicate with openness and honesty with the growing Lebanese Mixed Martial Arts family.
“Cooperation between the Clubs and the federation, which incur large expenses on the players, is crucial at this stage.”
LMMAF president has also urged everyone to put their hands together for the development of this sport.
“The federation will work on providing support for the clubs given the lack of governmental support. Therefore, the unity is essential here. My aim is to to make a good example out of this federation for the rest of the Lebanese federations where politics and religion play in,” he added.
“We are ready to help anyone because, at the end of the day, we are the sons of one homeland, we have the same blood. I assure you that if the clubs ask me to resign I will do it immediately without hesitation. Our goal is to unite our family of MMA under one federation.
“We contacted all the clubs to attend this meeting and I want to say something: I never hate those who commit mistakes, and my doors are open to everyone and I will be working with the members of the committee to support the clubs, the coaches and the players, and I will personally be in charge of the participation fees of each and every MMA club!
“I would like to add that the best man will win. There will be no exceptions, everyone will be abiding by the rules and will have to fight with high sportsmanship. I want to build an exemplary federation,” he concluded.
Finally, NASSOUR invited everyone in the attendance to an honorary dinner afterwards.
