Khamzat Chimaev (9-0-0) is the most debated rising stars in the UFC. The undefeated fighter who trains at the Allstars Training Center in Sweden had a three-fight dominant run in the UFC not even taking a significant strike or been taken down.
Many of the top-ranking fighters have avoided a confrontation with ‘Borz’ to avoid being the next in his list. His upcoming fight was announced against Leon Edwards on December 19. Edwards ranks 3 in the welterweight division and will be the next step for Chimaev to conquer as he is ambitious to reach the top.
Chimaev is clearly looking beyond his next bout and has the top stars in his hit list. The latest name to be targeted was none other than “The Last Stylebender.”
Adesanya is good in the standup, but nobody did wrestling against him. Yoel Romero, he only threw three or four punches in the standup. I can beat this guy. How is he going to come up from under me if I take him down? I don’t think he will. I’m going to beat his face.
Khamzat Chimaev
Chimaev is a skilled wrestler who could dominate most of the athletes in the roster. Adesanya has been effective as a striker, but he has never faced someone lethal like Chimaev who loves a fight and nearly begs Dana White to give feed him with more opponents.
Chimaev had been desperately calling out the entire ranks of Middleweight and Welterweight division nearly silencing social media activity by the two divisions. If and only if Adesanya takes up the fight the result will not be far from what we could predict.
A helpless Adesanya will be at the mercy of Chimaev to fall just like a loudmouth Conor Mcgregor in front of the fury of Khabib Nurmagomedov. Chimaev will dominate both at striking and especially at wrestling to call it a new milestone.
