MEFC 2
The Middle East Fighting Championship 2 (MEFC 2) fight card is shaping up. This highly anticipated event will go down live on January 26 in the United Arab Emirates, Danat Al Ain Resort. Two dangerous fighters top the card between Nawras Abzakh and Azouz Anwar, with many more key fights filling up the card with guaranteed MMA action.
Abzakh vs. Anwar
The UAE Warriors Arabia bantamweight The Jordanian “The Honey Badger” Nawras Abzakh is a submission-based fighter. More than half of his victories have come by way of submission, an impressive feat. This 32-year-old athlete is just coming off a loss to Brazilian veteran Victor Nunes. Abzakh will be looking to bounce back into the win column, but standing in his way is Egypt’s Azouz Anwar. “Fox” Anwar is a former titleholder in EFC. This Egyptian fighter has a base in wrestling and Jiu-Jitsu. It is expected to be a competitive matchup between Abzakh and Anwar on January 26.
El Sisy vs. Salem
The main event is set to be a lightweight matchup between two experienced athletes. Ahmed El Sisy, of Egypt, is booked against Iraq’s Hussein Salem. El Sisy is the QADYA MMA Lightweight Champion. The Egyptian athlete is on a three-fight win streak and coming off of a KO/TKO win in his most recent bout at Qadya MMA 3. Salem has won the majority of his fight by way of submission. With that being said, he has superb striking skills and a very entertaining style to match it. He will be looking to recover from a loss and jump back to a win streak.

Also featured at MEFC 2, a welterweight showdown between the unbeaten Algerian fighter Abderrahmen Smaili and Jordan’s Hazem Kayyali. Smaili is coming off a knockout win and will be looking to extend this pattern upcoming this month. Kayyali is a new prospect out of Jordan, who holds multiple medals under IMMAF. He will be making his professional debut.
The heavyweight division will potentially see fireworks as Turkey’s “Grey Wolf” Ercin Sirin meets Lebanon’s Ricardo Bachir. Both fighters had an extensive amateur record and will be looking to make an impact in professional MMA. With both men coming off losses, it is a high-stakes matchup to start their professional career on a positive note.
The MEFC 2 fight event is also expected to see “The Palestinian Gorilla” Mohammed Mutie take on Mohamed Eldeeb. Fans are clamoring to see him in the cage after his first MEFC performance, finishing Rayan Atmani. This dangerous submission fighter is looking to make a memorable impression in his MMA career.
