MMA welterweight George Eid has taken his stiking to a new level!

What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger. It’s been over a year since we last saw Georges Eid inside the cage, but the “Bulldozer” has not been resting and instead has kept his nose to the grindstone.

This weekend, Eid announced on Instagram that he brought GOLD, all the way from Moscow to Lebanon.

Eid participated in the second International Tournament “Moscow Wushu Stars” held from 18h to 22nd February and came in first place in the Sanda 80 Kg Adults Division after surpassing 3 opponents.

“It was very tough tournament, one of the biggest i’ve attended so far, said Eid. Sanda has always been my passion and the reason I am a martial artists today. I owe this win firstly to my team Tristar Lebanon/Coach Wissam Abi Nader for his support, my boxing coach Elie Zouein who put in more sweat than me in getting me ready. I would also like to extend my thankfulness to my sponsors Mr. Tony Assi of (C.R.E) and Mr. Joe Moarkesh of (Wider Learning) for making this happen.”

Not bad at all Mr. Eid!

It was only reasonable to ask about his MMA comeback after such a beautiful display in Russia, and Eid had some brief yet interesting thing to say about it.

“There is something cooking for April. I’ll share more info when things are closer but I can tell you it won’t be against an Arab opponent.”

Well at least we have a date right? Last time Eid fought Ahmed Saeb to a decision win at Desert Force 15. Since then not much has been heard about his MMA career. Now you have it. Let’s wait and see.
