The hyped title fight between Ottman Azaitar, lightweight champion of Brave Combat Federation and Abdul Kareem Al-Selwady had been the point of discussion for the Middle Eastern MMA world. Lately Abdul Kareem Al Selwady made it public as he announced his intentions to make the fight proposition a reality. Currently both Abdul Kareem and Ottman Azaitar are leading the division with four straight wins in the promotion. The possibility of the fight is much anticipated and will redefine the lightweight division of Brave Combat Federation. Many fighters already joined the bandwagon regarding the discussions of the fight. The latest one to react is the latest prospect to sign the division from the Middle East, “The Sniper” Mounir Lazzez.
Mounir Lazzez is set to make his promotional debut at Brave Combat Federation on 21st September at Abu Dhabi. The undefeated fighter (6-0-0), representing Tunisia, fighting out of Dubai will face the undefeated Swedish fighter, Dmitrijs Homjakovs (4-0-0) in a catch weight fight. Lazzez trains at Team Nogueira Dubai and has already announced that he aims to capture the championship in the division.
Reacting to Selwady’s statement that he is ready to face Ottman, Lazzez reacted,
“Make this fight happen and give me the winner.”
A man of few words, but straight tot the point.This will raise probability for a future three way action for the championship title. The upcoming bout for Mounir will take place at the Mubadala Arena on 21st September at Brave 16.
