Current two-division KSW Champion Roberto Soldic officially signed an exclusive deal with ONE Championship. Soldic, known by his nickname “Robocop,” has a 20-3 professional MMA record with a lethal 90 percent finishing rate. He also enjoyed a successful professional boxing stint, where he went 4-0, with all four victories coming via KO or TKO.
Over the past several years, however, Soldic has made a name for himself as an MMA prodigy in Poland’s KSW promotion. The Croatian sensation initially captured the KSW Welterweight Title when he finished Borys Mankowski via third-round TKO in December 2017. Though he lost the gold four months later, he regained it from his rival, Dricus du Plessis, in a rematch in October 2018.
Then this past December, Soldic moved up a weight class and knocked out KSW Middleweight Champion Mamed Khalidov with a left hook to claim his second belt.
Now, Soldic joins a talent-rich roster in ONE Championship, where many potential exciting fights await.
The 27-year-old could challenge several athletes, including undefeated ONE Light Heavyweight and Middleweight World Champion Reinier de Ridder, ONE Welterweight World Champion Kiamrian Abbasov, or even ONE Lightweight World Champion Ok Rae Yoon.
A date has yet to be confirmed for Soldic’s debut, but stay tuned to onefc.com for more details.
