Ottman Azaitar will be competing in the main event of Brave 14 hosted in Tangier, Morocco on 18th August. The event marks the first time that a mixed martial arts event is hosted in Morocco. Ottman is the only fighter in the fight card represented from Morocco. He will be moving up the weight class to the welterweight division to face Danjel Kokora from Serbia. In the main event, undefeated Moroccan welterweight (10-0) puts his professional record on the line against surging Serbian finisher, Danijel Kokora (16-13).
Kokora signed the fight in short notice since Ottman was cleared to compete just weeks leading to the event. The Moroccan lightweight sensation was elevated to compete in the main event. Meanwhile Kokora is one among the experienced fighters in Europe with 29 professional fights in his career. His record doesn’t necessarily appeal to most of the fight fans, but the wins and losses don’t tell the whole story. Kicking off his career at 7-12, Kokora has won nine of his last ten bouts. All 29 of his fights did not go the distance which gives him a 100% finish ratio for his career. The Serbian sensation is currently on a four fight win streak.
Kokora has won 12 of his 16 wins by way of submission which will be a major roadblock for Ottman Azaitar who thrives in the brawling and striking department. Even with the hometown support and Abu Azaitar in his corner, the fight experience that Kokora will be bringing to the cage will be a challenge for Azaitar. The fight marks the fourth appearance for Ottman who had finished past two fights by way of knockouts.
The fight night will be hosted at 06:00 PM on 18th August at the Omni Sport Indoor Club in Tangier, Morocco. The fight night will be broadcasted live on Abu Dhabi Sports, Fite TV, FloCombat, StarSat, Combate and Vodacom
