The second MMA fight has been confirmed for the Lebanese promotion Phoenix 3 going down in London on September 22nd, 2017. The ‘Indigo’, O2 arena, will see the Lebanese Desert Force champion Yousef Wehbe (6-3-0, 2 NC) go against the English Alfie Davis (8-1-0) of Bellator and Cage Warriors.
This lightweight bout takes Wehbe, the Desert Force lightweight champion, into his 9th fight. Wehbe, known for his grinding style, had been on a 3 fight winning streak until he faced MMA veteran Jorje Patino in Korea. Due to a controversial stoppage the fight was turned to a No Contest.
Davis on the other had is on a 6 fight winning streak, with major and dangerous talent on and off the ground with 4 KOs, 3 submissions, and 1 decision on his record. This Brit’s last win came against the formerly undefeated Jay Dods (6-1-0) in Bellator 179, which he finished with a TKO (kick to the body) in the first round.
