Phoenix 6’s Karaki: “I don’t know how to trash talk, it’s not in my character. I know how to fight”

As his second fight under Phoenix Fighting Championship comes closer, this time in the main event of Phoenix 6, Mohammad Karaki finally has some more words to say to his opponent… Sort of….

A few weeks ago, Sallah-Eddine Dekhissi posted an Instagram photo of himself, with a caption that stated he had undergone a successful surgery. To spice things up, Dekhissi took a swing at Karaki and stated that the surgery will not stop him from breaking Karaki’s mouth(He probably meant jaw, but we get the picture)!

Sallah-Eddine Dekhissi: “Thank God the operation went well. As for my fight, it will not be cancelled. Karaki, even on one leg, I will break your mouth!”

Karaki made sure to drop his own statement after this verbal attack which led to yet another mocking post from Dekhissi in return. Dekhissi posted the photo below and the caption talks for it self!

With only two weeks to go before the fight, Karaki admits that he doesn’t possess the character of a slick trash talker, but is confident of letting his mixed martial arts skills do the talking for him once he steps inside the cage against Dekhissi.

“My opponent Sallah-Eddidne has been talking a lot over social media. Honestly, I’m not following up on what he’s saying, but the people and my fans have been telling me. I don’t know how to trash talk, it’s not in my character. I know how to fight.”

Throughout his career, we’ve actually seen a lot of fighters attempt to trash talk Karaki before a fight on some occasions, and into a fight on others. No doubt that competing against an undefeated fighter who is highly talented, holds great success in the Arab world of MMA and a double division champion, is a huge catch for many fighters. Karaki knows the spotlight he can bring to his opponents in every bout. Moreover, he is absolutely ready to face anybody and fortify his throne as one of the most accomplished mixed martial artists in the region.

“Everybody is trying to get a fight with me. Maybe it’s because I’m grabbing more attention for the fighters. I’m ready to fight anyone.”

Talking about people calling Karaki out, the Phoenix light-heavyweight champion, Moise Rimbon, has currently invested a lot of effort in this department. Though Karaki is a middleweight, we’ve seen him fight at the light-heavyweight division. A potential fight between the two will be huge if it were to happen somewhere down the line. According to Karaki, a potential fight against the Phoenix light-heavyweight champion is up to the Phoenix management. He is currently focused on the task at hand, but does not at all mind facing Rimbon in the future.

“Moise Rimbon is calling me out, throwing in some comments here and there. I’m fighting for the middleweight title now. I used to be a light-heavyweight before and I really don’t mind going up to light-heavyweight again. Right now, I’m totally focused on my middleweight title fight. After this, it’s up to Phoenix whether they want me to fight for the light-heavyweight title or not. We can even do the fight at middleweight. Honestly, I’m ready to fight anyone in any division.
