A new welterweight has been added to the Phoenix FC roster, delivering more depth to the already talent stacked Phoenix welterweight division.
Russian/Lebanese welterweight fighter Ramy Hamed has followed in the footsteps of his teammate Hayder Hassan, officially signing with Phoenix, and is anticipated to be making his debut in the promotion’s upcoming event, Phoenix 9 taking place on the 2nd of August.
Fighting out of the Team Jab and training at American Top Team, Hamed was recently fighting for the Titan FC welterweight title. Though he lost after a battle which lasted till the 5th round, it is evident that his overall Mixed Martial Arts skills, especially his versatile striking arsenal, is truly at a world class level. What’s even more amazing is that all of Hamed’s 6 professional wins came via 1st round finishes, perhaps the most fascinating of which are his trademark liver shot KO’s the instantly deplete his opponent’s gas tank and make them drop as easy prey for a quick finish by the welterweight. That’s no doubt something to keep an eye out for in his next bout!

Looking forward to the new experience and his forthcoming journey at Phoenix, Hamed knows that Phoenix will offer him high ranked top-level competition, the fact which has motivated him more to join the promotion. Hamed is eager to showcase his new set of acquired skills to the Arab world and can’t wait to put on a show for the fans.
“This organization already has great fighters at welterweight, one of them is the title contender Hayder hassan who is my friend and teammate. I’m looking forward to putting on a great show and showcasing my striking and progress.”
