Saad Awad Takes on Stapelton At Bellator MMA


Saad Awad is back at the toughest tournament in Sports, as Portland’s Rose Garden Arena plays hosts to Bellator MMA on Friday, September 27th.
In less than a week, we will witness the comeback of Awad at a night that will showcase the opening round of the Bellator Lightweight Tournament. For Saad Awad this means one thing , he’s back to take what was stolen from him!!

Palestinian Saad Awad fights out of San Bernardino, California, holding professional MMA record of 15-5-0, with six wins by TKO/KO, six via submission and one via decision.Prior to his controversial TKO loss last Match at Bellator 94 , Awad was on a 6 fight streak with 2 back to back KO’s in under a minute!!

When asked about his fight Awad stated:

Martin Stapelton is in my way! He’s on an 8 win streak which will surely end this September.It doesn’t matter who i fight, its all or nothing this time!

Martin “50 Cal” Stapelton fights out of Rochdale, holding professional MMA record of 12-1-0, with four of his twelve wins coming by TKO/KO, three via submission and five by decision.This is his Debut with Bellator promotion and promises to deliver a special performance.The former Royal Marines Commando is currently on a eight-fight winning streak and was the 2012 Cage Contender Fight Stars eight-man tournament winner.
