Earlier this month, Team Shogun announced that Sayfco sponsored lightweight fighter Serge Saad, will be attending a three month camp in Thailand.
Also in that same post, it was revealed that Saad will take part of the Desert Force 19 set to take place in Egypt this December. This could very well be, as he might face Michael Aoun in a fight that was originally scheduled for Desert Force Beirut.
Saad, an Al Academiya 2 Semi Finalist, had an unsuccessful professional Debut Vs when he faced Lois Cadet at Desert Force 15 in Abu Dhabi. He since took the decision to fight in the lightweight division as this guy walks around at 85+kg. That’s alot of weight to cut down to Bantamweight!
Almost a month since the beginning of this fight camp, Serge has yet ample time to grasp and absorb knowledge and experience from his coaches and professors before heading back to his teammates in Shogun Lebanon.
If this match up is officially announced, this will mark the second fighter from team shogun to secure a spot on the Desert Force 19 card. Desert Force former champion Mohamad Karaki will be challenging the current middleweight Champion Ibrahim Elsawi for the title as part of the Main event of the evening.
