Riding the campaign of #BraveInJordan, triggered by Jordanian fighters Al Selwady and Al Selawe, Tahar Hadbi has issued his own statement regarding the event and it makes all the sense! After the news was featured on social media as well as this weeks episode of BraveNews, Hadbi shared this thoughts and willingness to fight on this card against a LOCAL WELTERWEIGHT.
“ Some good news from Brave CF ! I heard Carlos Kremer talking about an event in Jordan in this video, it will be a pleasure to fight again in this beautiful country.. Why not against a local welterweight?! It has never been a problem for me to have the public against me ! “ said Hadbi on Facebook
.
Hadbi had fought in Jordan earlier in his career (2014) when he defeated Michael Johnson at Cage Warriors ( CWFC Fight Night 11 ) which took place at King Hussein Sports city, the home of most MMA events in Jordan. Now he is calling to fight once again in the Hashemite Kingdom, against someone worth the challenge.
As Jordanian fighters took to social media asking the promotion to come to Jordan, Al Selawe made it clear that he is ready to face anyone if the event takes place. Hadbi heard his words and in turn, dropped a clearer post naming Jarrah as his next target.
Tahar has won 8 out of his last 10 fights, with one loss and 1 no contest. His debut in Brave 5 India where he fought against Carl Booth with a controversial early end provided the No Contest on his record . The bout was scheduled for five rounds but the referee mistakenly called stop after the third. The Indian Commission then overturned the decision, which was in favor of Carl booth.
Despite Jarrah having two wins under the promotion and Hadbi having none, any Arab MMA fan will find a lot of sense in this match up.
