Tarec Saffiedine (14-3) was scheduled to fight Robbie Lawler at UFC on Fox 8 in what promised to be a super striking festival. Unfortunately, this fight will not be happening due to Saffiedine injuring his hip while getting ready for his awaited UFC debut.

UFC officials had announced the change on Twitter (@UFC):

– Another injury switch-up: @tarecfighter Saffiedine injured, @SiyarTheGreat Bahadurzada will now face @Ruthless_RL Robbie Lawler @UFConFOX 8

Afghan Siyar Bahadurzada has stepped in to face Lawler replacing Tarec.

Tarec mentioned that he has no idea when his next fight will be, but for now he will go to rehab and rest until he is fully recovered and ready to fight again.

“No surgery needed so far. Just Physical Therapy and strengthening of the muscles for 4 to 6 weeks then get back slowly to training.”
