Amman, Jordan – Today, ArabsMMA reporter Zahi Ephrem was on scene at Desert Force 17 official weigh ins which took place at the Regency Hotel. Surprisingly enough, Tarek Suleiman was not taking part of that as his bout with Jarrah Al Selawi will not take part of tomorrows event at the King Hussein Sports City new boxing Arena.

Suleiman had previously posted on social media that he has been facing visa issues and was unable to leave Thailand on time. More details about this story later as we meet up with Tarek in person.

Yet, Desert Force matchmaker Yousef Nassar, known as the magician when it comes to finding last minute replacements, managed to save this fight in the last seconds. Jarrah’s new opponent will be Mohamed Sayah, a figher from Algerian origin, fighting out of Belgium. Sayah has a record of 4 wins and 2 losses, with his latest win coming via TKO.

Jarrah who fights at welterweight will face Sayah in a catchweight matchup (80Kg), knowing that Sayah originally fights at lightweight.

Stay tuned for more on Tarek Suleiman point of view regarding this situation.

Desert Force 17 will take part at the King Hussein Boxing Arena in Amman. Doors open at 7pm, make your way there if you’re in Jordan!
