On Saturday, May 16, Team Nogueira Dubai will host the legend Roger Gracie for a BJJ Seminar in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
Two week ago, an inspirational photo posted on H.H Sheikh Tarik al Qassimi’s (@tarikalqassimi) instagram account gave an inkling of the plans happening backstage. Sheikh Tarik, who is the owner of Team Nogueira Dubai, had visited the legendary Roger Gracie for a one on one training that lead to this awesome news!
Roger Gracie is a one of a kind Jiu Jitsu black belt, considered by many to be the greatest competitor of all time in the sport. A 14x World Champion (12 of which in the black belt division) and mixed martial arts competitor, this Gracie family representative from Rio de Janeiro, moved to London, England in his youth, opening one of the counties largest academies with the help of his father, Mauricio Gomes. Roger Gracie is also the grandson of Jiu Jitsu founder Carlos Gracie and a inductee to the IBJJF Hall of Fame.
Roger also fights MMA and rides a (7-2) record with his latest win (here) coming by way of TKO against James McSweeny at ONE FC 23 ” Warriors Way ” back in December.
