Amateur combat competitions have made a massive improvement in the recent years, becoming a highly evolving subset of combat championships in the world.
While realizing the importance of taking the route of the amateur circuit as a roadmap to professionalism, Team Nogueira Dubai has stepped forward to host the facility’s first ever amateur combat competition, Future Champions Competition. The event will span over 2 days, Friday 6th of May for Judo, BJJ, and Karate, and Saturday 7th of May for the Muay Thai, Boxing, and MMA competitions.
The Jiu-Jitsu bouts will only include members of Team Nogueira Dubai in the process of preparing for their upcoming competitions.
ArabsMMA reached out to Team Nogeuira Dubai’s Kickboxing & Muay Thai head coach and Desert Force welterweight champion, Mounir “The Sniper” Lazzez who will be leading on the Muay Thai, Boxing, and MMA fights at the “Future Champions Competition”:
I am the matchmaker for the Muay Thai, Boxing, and MMA fights at the “Future Champions Competition” next week. Almost all of the fighters on the card have previously fought in amateur competitions, and they have good experience. I promise it’s going to be a good show!
We need to give these fighters the chance to compete as much as possible at an amateur level before having their pro debut one day. It’s very important for athletes to establish their amateur career before starting to compete at a professional level. This is our mission at Team Nogueira. We will have our fighters face opponents from various other gyms and academies in order to have them exposed to a wider variety of levels and styles.
