Titles on the line at Brave 9: “The Kingdom of Champions”

Brave Combat Federation has introduced its next event, Brave 9: “The Kingdom of Champions” which will take part of Bahrain’s Combat Fight Week. The promotion will be returning home to offer one of its most exciting fight cards yet after having 8 international events in just one year.

The Brave 9: The Kingdom of Champions trailer speaks loud and clear as it promises to feature multiple title fights. So, who might these new champions be?

A featherweight title fight is almost certainly in the works as the Brave 9 trailer shows both, Brave’s featherweight champion Elias Boudegzdame, as well as his likely challenger, the Brazilian Lucas “Mineiro” Martins.

18222504_1167310653398335_1728240600768604492_nElias Boudegzdame, the first ever Brave Combat Federation champion, hold a professional record of 14 wins with only 4 losses. He made his first appearance in Brave 2: Dynasty, against the American Walel Watson defeating him via armlock submission in round 1. He then made his second appearance in Brave 4 where he fought for the title against Mexico’s Masio Fullen, defeating him via choke also. With most of his wins coming by way of submission, Boudegzdame is a dangerous talent once the fight hits the ground, but don’t rule him out on the feet, as this kid can stand and strike.

Lucas “Mineiro” Martins hold a professional record of 19 wins with 3 loses. He made his first Brave appearance at Brave 3 where he took on Mexican opponent Fabian Galvan, finishing him by submission in the 2nd round.

With a mixed record of KO, submission and decision victories, Martins is a well-rounded mixed martial arts veteran who is comfortable wherever the fight goes and will be a strong contender for the featherweight title against Boudegzdame in case this fight happens.

Also, the Brave 9: “The Kingdom of Champions” trailer featured two other fighters that could also be competing for the Brave gold, this time at the lightweight division.

The former Desert Force featherweight champion and Arab mixed martial arts superstar, “Mini Hulk” Abdul Kareem Al-Selwady, has now fought twice for Brave at Brave 1: The Beginning and Brave 4. In his Brave debut, Al-Selwady scored a huge submission victory against his Swedish opponent Rami Aziz in the first round via choke. Al-Selwady was also able to finish his second fight in the first round, this time by TKO against Brazilian opponent Michael Deiga-Scheck, bumping his record up to 7 wins and 1 loss. He has looked much more impressive since he moved up from featherweight to lightweight title and will be looking to add the Brave Combat Federation title to his already impressive resume if he gets the chance.

Standing across from him could be Brazilian fighter Luan “Miau” Santiago. With a professional record of 12 wins and 2 loses, and with a 7 fight winning streak, Santiago looks to add yet another win to his third Brave outing, having won via TKO at Brave 3 against Mexican fighter Ivan Castillo and Brave 8 against his fellow Brazilian Igor Soares. With almost all of his fights ending by way of KO or TKO, a title fight will surely deserving for this man.

We might be wrong, but let’s hope we’re not as these fighters will put on a spectacular show if Gold is on the line!

Brave 9: “The Kingdom of Champions”, will take place on Nov. 17 in Bahrain at Khalifa Sports City. Make sure you tune in to one of the world’s fastest growing mixed martial arts promotions.
