Lightweight contender Mohammad Triki stormed Desert Force back in June 2013 after taking part in the first Al Academia season where he showcased his top level striking in his fights. Triki the made his professional debut at Desert Force when he defeated the more experienced Ahmed Al Boussairy in Bahrain.
He then came back to finish Mahmoud Hassan early in the first round in what seemed to be disputable decision. The Egyptian had received a kick to the groin which the referee did not see, and was left in agony as the fight ended with a guillotine choke win to Mohammad Triki.
However, Triki’s latest performance against Saba settled the score and destroyed the doubts of many who have diminished his win because of the controversy! This guy wont be stopped before he earns a shot at the title.
Three consecutive wins now for the Moroccan who fights out of Team Rebels! I personally don’t see any candidates the fit the profile of a contender other than Triki at the moment, with his improved Jitsu and Top notch striking, this man seems unstoppable!
Not only does he fit the profile, but he earned a shot and should be next in line whenever Tarek hamdi is ready to defend his title.
