Abdulkareem Al Selwady was one of the first Arab mixed martial arts (MMA) fighters to sign with the new Bahraini based global promotions, Brave Combat Federation. He successfully destroyed his opponent in his promotional debut, choking him in the first round.
Al Selwady shined at Brave 1 “The Beginning” and was viewed as the next big thing in the 70 Kg division. He now finds himself with a slew of talented international fighters eager to challenge him.
After his dominant and impressive victory over Ramy Aziz, Al Selwady had a new visitor on his Facebook page.
“The Ultimate Fighter” TUF (Latin American 3) contestant and Entram Gym fighter, Alejandro Martinez apparently decided to check out some of Abdulkareem’s Facebook photos only to start a long, back and forth dialogue that ended up with a brute and slightly disrespectful call out.
Al Selwady and Martinez have no history of bad blood but this looks like the start of something big.
For those not familiar with Martinez, he is the teammate of “Brave” fighters, Ivan Lopez and Masio Fullen. He was also 1 of 16 contestants in (TUF) The Ultimate Fighter: Latin America 3 which was filmed back in May, 2016. The coaches for the season were former UFC Light Heavyweight champions Forrest Griffin and Chuck Liddell. Fighting out of team Griffin, Martinez defeated Fabian Quintanar, who was favored to win the show. Martinez was unable to continue the season as he was suffering with injuries from his fight with Quintanar.
With that being said, Martinez made it clear that he wants to put his (12-1) record against Alselwady if the promotion makes it happen. Check out how the dialogue went in the photos above.
