UAE Warriors returns with another doubleheader. The festivities will begin on Friday, May 19th with all Arabian fight-card. and culminate with UAE Warriors 42. Both events occur at Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi and will air on UFC Fight pass.
UAE Warriors featherweight title fight
Saturday’s event will mark the third featherweight title bout between the Jordanian and the Canadian. The first fight took place at UAE Warriors 30. It was stopped by the doctor due to a cut that AlQaisi suffered. ‘Royal Fighter’ didn’t take it well as he screamed at both the doctor and the referee. Later he went after the Canadian, who was celebrating. The newly crowned promised him an imminent rematch.
Two months later the fans witnessed a second meeting between the two. AlQaisi regained the championship belt by submitting Arnett at one minute and 25 seconds of the third round.
Now the time has come to close the trilogy. In his most recent bout, AlQaisi repeated his feat by submitting Ahmed Faress at UAE Warriors 40. On the other hand, Arnett hasn’t been active since his loss to the Jordanian fighter.
Vacant middleweight title fight
The co-main event will determine the new middleweight title holder as Juscelino Ferreira takes on Amir Fazli.
The Brazilian fighter has a 12 – 3 professional MMA record. He made his promotional debut back in 2019. After defeating Ibrahim ElSawi he continued his winning ways by beating Tarek Suleiman. Unfortunately, his four-fight winning streak was put to an end by Denis Tiuliulin. Ferreira bounced back by securing a decision win over KB Bhullar.
Fazli is a less experienced fighter, who has a 5 – 1 record. He currently rides a three-fight winning streak, which includes two first-round finishes in the promotion. His only defeat was a first-round tap-out due to an armbar to Vladislav Shabalin.
