The Kingdom of Bahrain has become the world capital of mixed martial arts this November, holding both the International Mixed Martial Arts Federation World Championship, as well as the highly anticipated Brave 9: The Kingdom of Champions mixed martial arts event.
Among several recognized Arabs, along with world-class fighters and athletes present at the event, is the UFC light-heavyweight contender, Ilir “The Sledgehammer” Latifi.
Competing in the UFC since 2013, Latifi quickly climbed up the rankings of the UFC light-heavyweight division, to be one of the most powerful fighters in that division. Known for his strength, explosive grappling, and especially his world-class wrestling skills, Latifi has scored impressive victories over the likes of several top-notch UFC fighters such as Cyrille Diabate, Chris Dempsey, Sean O’Connell and most recently a unanimous decision victory over Tyson Pedro.
For both amateur, as well as professional fighters alike, it is motivating to see a UFC fighter as decorated as Latifi present in Bahrain as a guest of Brave 9: The Kingdom of Champions, supporting the mixed martial arts scene while actually enjoying the show himself before preparing for his upcoming bout scheduled for January 2018 against Ovince St. Preux.
Brave 9: The Kingdom of Champions will take place on the 17th of November in the Kingdom of Bahrain, still with an explosive fight card that features our favorite fighters, the likes of Nawras Abzakh, Hamza Kooheji, Ahmed Amir, Mohammad Fakhreddine, Tahar Hadbi, Abdul-Kareem Al-Selwady, Jarrah Al-Selwai and many more.
