Wendell Roche Faces Steven Banks at Phoenix 2

The bigger they are, the harder they hit. WBC Muay Thai World Champion Steven Banks from USA is set to face Kickboxing World Champion Wendell Roche from Netherlands in a heavyweight clash at the upcoming Phoenix 2 event in Beirut.

Roche (53-20) has notable wins against Stefan Leko, Ramazan Ramazanov and many international high level kickboxers. He holds an amazing achievement in being the only man to ever defeat the WBC Muay Thai Heavyweight champion Ginty Vrede. Roche has relocated to the Middle East where he recently joined Shogun gym in Beirut, Lebanon as a 1st tier trainer for the Lebanese Muay Thai national team.

His opponent, better known as “The American Kung Fu Panda”, is an experienced MMA and Muay Thai fighter who carries the prestigious WBC super heavyweight title. Banks trains and fights out of Phuket Top Team in Thailand. Standing at 6’5″ and weighing in at 265lbs, the gigantic Steven Banks moves with unexpected speed and precision, making him a threat to whoever steps into the ring with him.
