Lebanon Gets Ready for IMMAF World Championship

On saturday May 3, the first Lebanese Amateur MMA Championship under the IMMAF banner will take place.


On saturday May 3, the first Lebanese Amateur MMA Championship under the IMMAF (International Mixed Martial Arts Federation) banner will take place giving all MMA athletes in the country an opportunity to join and try out for a chance to represent their country in Las Vegas this summer.

Through several selective competitions, the participants will get the opportunity to demonstrate their skills and their will to compete and by the end of the competition, one athlete from every division will be selected. They will receive training and support to get ready for the World Championship happening from June 30 Till July 6th as mentioned above. Based on improvement, dedication and skills, a champion in each weight class will be named in April to represent at the World Championships.

The first IMMAF World Championships will take place in the week of June 30th to July 6th 2014 in Las Vegas, USA. Men and women from around the world will compete in the most challenging and fastest growing sport in the world. Currently there are preparations taking place in all corners of the globe to ensure that the best of the best are sent to challenge each other in a tournament that will meet and exceed international sports standards.

Lebanon and Jordan are the only 2 countries from the Middle East to join the IMMAF, yet no news about any preparations going on in Jordan.

The list of fighters who will participate from Lebanon will be officially released tomorrow night along with information on each of the fighters and their background.
