Cedar Fighting Championships’ 4th event in Lebanon is drawing close on Sunday the 3rd of September, 2017. With several exciting fighters on the card, Yousef Ghrairi is surely one worthy to be watched.
Known as the “widow maker”, the Lebanese lightweight holds a clean record of 5-0, with a 4 finishes and one decision.
Currently holding the Evolution Fighting Championship lightweight belt, Ghrairi will be fighting for the CFC lightweight title against the experienced Jerry Kvarstrom from Finland. Kvarstrom holds a record of 22 professional fights with 12 wins and 10 losses, with his last win against Ghrairi’s compatriot Sylvester Saba.
This will be an exceptional fight given the fashion these two fighters have been able to finish their opponents. Kvarstrom finished all his fight wins via submissions and mostly rear naked chokes, while Ghrairi is known to be a knockout powerhouse with explosive abilities and heavy landing punches.
The Lebanese lightweight champion voiced to Arabs MMA that he is well prepared for this fight and promised to give a hard time to his Finnish opponent as he claimed that he is aiming for the kill and not worried about the submission specialist’s ground skills.
Come September 4th and we shall see Yousef Ghrairi becoming a champion in two organizations and see another widow in the making? Or will the experienced Scandinavian stop Ghrairi’s winning streaks to be throned on Lebanese soil?
Ghrairi vs. Kvarstrom will serve as the co-feature of CFC 4. Headlining the fight card will be the 2016 IMMAF Super heavyweight Gold Medalist, Charbel Diab. CFC 4 (Cedar Fighting Championship) takes place Monday September 3rd, 2017 at the Casino du Liban in Lebanon.
