CFC’s (Cedar Fighting Championship) summer return to Beirut is officially jam packed. Two bouts have been added to the September 3 fight card at the Casino du Liban for the promotion’s fourth installment, CFC 4.
Local talents Georges Eid and Mohammed Sheaito meet German Igor Montes and Moroccan Salaheddine Dehkissi respectively.
Georges Eid Vs. Igor Montes
George “The Bulldozer” Eid (4-2-0) looks to make his return to the cage after being out of action for more than a year. Eid made his promotional debut at CFC 1 where he faced Frenchman Akram Benali (5-5) and put on an old school beating to earn the unanimous decision win. He was then scheduled to take part of CFC 2, yet an injury left him sidelined. On Sunday September 3, he takes on the more battle-scarred German Igor “Machete” Montes (13-20) at welterwight. Montes truly needs this fight to get back on a winning track. Despite having lost more than he’s won, cage experience can always be a favorable factor.
Mohammed Sheaito Vs. Salaheddine Dehkissi
Mohamed Shaeito, fighting out of Tiger Muay Thai, holds a professional record of 4-2, will also be making his CFC debut. The local favorite is known for his exciting fighting style with his most recent win coming by way of knockout over the Egyptian powerhouse veteran Mahmoud Salama, a fighter who has 7 out of his 14 fight victories won by way of knockout. Shaeito will take on Morroco’s Sallah-Eddine Dekhissi in a middleweight battle. Despite not fighting since 2015, Sallah will be a dangerous opponent, especially if the fight goes to the ground.
