Cedar Fighting Championship’s reigning bantamweight champion Georges Bardawil (5-1) will make the first defense of his CFC title on September 3 against Menchaves Rodian (5-1) of the Philippines.
Bardawil, who also holds the EFC Evolution title, has finished all but one of his opponents. He will look to defend his CFC title for the first time against Rodian.
The Lebanese made his promotional debut at CFC 1, submitting Dhurv Chaudhary (7-4). Bardawil then captured the bantamweight crown at CFC 2 as a 3-0 fighter facing the experienced Amer Al Shawnshiry (6-1).
He then went ahead to claim the EFC Evolution bantamweight title against Hassan Dosha at EFC Evolution 3.
Rodian is on a four fight win streak, with all 5 of his career wins coming by way of stoppage too.
This one is going to be crowd pleasing, as the Lebanese crowd have always appreciated and backed up their own “Bardawil” when fighting on Lebanese soil.
